The Madagascar president, Andry Rajoelina who had officially launched a herbal medicine which he claimed to be cure as well as preventive measure to putting an end to the Covid-19 pandemic that had killed thousands of people round the globe.
The local herbal medicine which he called (Covid Organics" or CVO) at the launching ceremony in Antananarivo on Monday. The president further explained that its effective results is 7 days.
According to Rajoelina "Tests have been carried out and two people got cured by the herbal remedy. Rajoelina told ministers, diplomats, and journalists at the Malagasy Institute of Applied Research (IMRA), developed the beverage.
The president volunteered to be the first to drink it in front of everybody, in other to show that the product cures and does not kill."
The drink was made from artemisia - a plant with proven efficacy in malaria treatment - and other herbs, according to the IMRA.
Madagascar had recorded 121 cases of coronavirus with which 39 recoveries so far.
